You see, I've come to learn over many years that there are three basic categories of people wanting to make money from activities on the internet today. Some people sit around waiting for things to happen. Some people "make things happen". Others just wonder: "what the heck happened?"

Hi! My name is Geff Olufemi, and I am a business owner and entrepreneur who has been in business since 1998, and on the internet since 2000. Over the years, I have made my share of mistakes (lots of them) and spent lots of money trying to figure things out. It would have been great if there was some way for me to have shortened my learning curve back then. It would have been really great had I had access to the best resources, benefits, tools and training possible. But, I didn't; and, so I had to learn the hard way.

Today, I own some very successful websites targeted primarily (but, not exclusively) to the Global African ("Black") Community and a few other highly specialized niche offerings. Lately, I have been watching as more and more African ("Black") People come online each month; and, that's a good thing. Broadband internet connections and Web 2.0 technology have made the internet a whole lot faster and much more interactive. For that reason, there are many people who are online for the sheer entertainment value of it and/or educational purposes offered by the web. And many others are online who really want to figure out how to make money right now.

Here's a challenge for you: ask yourself which of the three categories above fit you. Be honest. I'm already certain that everyone wants to believe that they're in the "make it happen" category... right? But, are you really?

Here's What's Happening!

If you're new to internet marketing, or you've been online for any length of time and you're on the subscriber list of a few prevalent marketers, it's more than likely that you have witnessed or perhaps even purchased from a massive information product launch.

These launches happen all the time, and they kind of creep up on you and slowly draw you in. Here's how it happens: first you get a couple of teaser emails from a popular "guru" and maybe some slick videos to watch - no strings attached. These emails and videos provide some good tips and freebies that are designed to peak your interest.

Then, they subtly announce the launch of their "killer" product... and, the count-down begins. When that date arrives, your inbox is literally flooded with emails from different marketers all promoting the launch. Each one is offering bonuses and "specials" to get you to buy from them... right?

Stay with me here... After a few days, the launch is over (and you've either bought their product, or wished you did) and you're now reading all the blog posts and forum threads about how the launch made over $1,000,000.00 in sales or some other ridiculous amount like that. Now you're scratching your head wondering "what the heck just happened?" How did they do that?

Wouldn't you like to have been the creator of that "Million Dollar Product" or even just one of the affiliates that banked several thousand dollars by simply promoting the product? If you're like most people, I know you would.

Well, with the "Black Folks Guide to Making Big Money on the Internet", we'll explore the facts about "online selling", and we'll uncover the ideal marketing strategies a "newbie" (or anyone else) can implement to get started on the right path to "making it happen" online themselves - right away.

The Economy is Changing Things ...

In these trying economic times, more and more people are turning to Internet Marketing each day as a means of supplementing their income. Home-based businesses are becoming more and more commonplace for African ("Black") and all other Folks across the country and around the world. Most are joining Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) companies, for the most part, because that's all they've been introduced to. There's nothing wrong with that, BUT... there are a whole lot more ways to make money online... once you know how. Why be limited to just MLM, when there's so much more out there? Why not learn as much as you can, so that you can earn all that you can?

Unfortunately, Many Entrepreneurs Fail.

Here's Why:

In many respects, the very definition of "Internet Marketing" can preclude you from achieving success. You see, just marketing a product or service and raising awareness doesn't make you money. SELLING that product over and over again does. It's just that simple.

The key here is to know "how to" market correctly in today's economy and get the results you're looking for. And, without a doubt, there are a variety of fundamental skills that you will need in order to become a success.

What worked in times past, won't necessarily work today. And, if you're not plugged-in, and getting access to what works, you're going to spin your wheels and waste a lot of time and money trying to figure it all out (just like I did when I first got started).
